Are you Cycle Confident?
The main objectives of the cycle confidence course are to gain confidence, meet new people, socialise and practise your cycle skills in a traffic-free environment. The sessions are delivered in a small group where progression is made at your pace, supported by instructors with years of experience teaching adults in a variety of environments. You are under no pressure to reach any particular standard, but will be surprised by just how much you can do.
Our park-based courses are ideal as a way of discovering the benefits of cycling. You’ll feel more confident about cycling more often. You will feel some of the benefits that cycling at your own pace brings: gentle low impact exercise, losing weight, a sense of freedom, improving your heart and lungs and simply learning something new.
You can choose to take part on your own bike or borrow one of ours.

Sessions are currently running until 30th November 2024 at the following locations:
Wednesday morning womens-only at Hillsborough Park, from 10am. Booking is essential.
Thursday morning mixed sessions at Greenhill Park, Lowedges, from 10am. Booking is essential.
Saturday morning sessions in Endcliffe Park, from 10am. Booking is essential.

(Session delivery is often determined by the weather so, if the forecast looks bad, it’s a good idea to check that the session you want to attend is taking place).
- Duration: Each session runs for two hours. Participants can attend up to a maximum of six sessions.
- Locations: Endcliffe Park, Hillsborough Park
- Mixed and women-only sessions available
- Bike can be provided
