Encouraging Active Travel in Sheffield
CycleBoost is delivered by A Different Gear on behalf of Sheffield City Council. It’s aim is to promote active travel travel and encourage more people to replace shorter car journeys by travelling by bike.
The Cycle Training element offers adults in Sheffield a chance to improve their cycling skills, whatever level of cycling they currently have. There are Learn to Ride, Cycle Confidence and Road Confidence group sessions, as well as one-to-one Bike Buddy sessions.
The CycleBoost e-bike rental scheme offers Sheffield residents the chance to rent an e-bike and accessories for a month or longer, without committing to the big financial outlay of buying your own bike. For anyone who has considered making the switch to an e-bike, this is the perfect opportunity to give it a go.
